Zippy Pronoia Tour to US '94

Free Outdoor Rocky Mountain Rave

The Zippy crew awoke late Saturday afternoon, and headed for the set-up of the next gig. Where, you ask? Oh, somewhere HIGH up in the mountians, along a twisting, treacherous dirt road. If you had driven this road around 3 a.m. Sunday morning, you would have come around the bend to discover a glade full of 1500 hyped-up ravers, undulating to the drums of the Rainbow Gypsies and the ambient tracks of the Zippies. The laser lights cast a mystical glow on the surrounding woods and the mountain backdrop. The bonfire kept warm those who stopped dancing long enough to get chilly, and the system set up by Sound and Magic Entertainment, in association with Drew, Ztephen and Nootrpohia, rocked the mountains until they sweated.

Unfortunately, Officer Friendly decided to block the road onto the site, forcing overflow cars to invade surrounding properties. What a cooincidence, for the police then had a wonderful excuse to shut the music down just before sunrise.

Ah, the politics of dancing. The legend was fed by the intrusion, though... so Mr. Jones' best laid plans backfire again!
